This is a structured cognitive-behavioural program which teaches individuals with ABI anger management difficulty skills such as communication, relaxation and positive thinking strategies. |

Self-Esteem Group
Self-Esteem is a structured educational group that teaches skills & strategies that enhance self-esteem and promote a healthy self-concept. Participants will learn personal awareness strategies, self-monitoring skills, communication skills and behaviour coping strategies. Participants will also learn how to identify and challenge dysfunctional thoughts while learning new and adaptive ways of thinking. |

This group will discuss basic acquired brain injury information including; basic neuroanatomical, functions of the brain, changes after an injury and the recovery/rehabilitation process. |

Relaxation and Stress Management Group
This group will help individuals understand stress and how to identify personal stressors. Participants will learn coping strategies as well as various relaxation and meditation techniques that they can implement in their daily lives. |

Depression Support Group
The Depression Support Group is for individuals who are looking for support dealing with feelings of sadness. This group will allow participants to have a safe place to discuss their feelings and access a peer support network. It will also provide information on depression, focusing on various therapeutic/coping strategies for managing low mood. |

This group will teach strategies on the interpretation of social signals helping individuals to act appropriately in a variety of social situations. Participants will learn how to improve their social behaviours, raise their self-esteem and utilize the tools necessary to lead a healthy and happy social life. |

This group is intended for individuals who require support in the areas of self-image, social skills and self-esteem. Participants will develop an understanding of their own sexuality and how this self-image affects family, social and work/volunteer relationships. The group will provide participants with opportunities to discuss issues as well as develop new skills sets to interact and respond to a variety of social, work and familial environments. |

This group is intended for those who have graduated from the Relationships and Sexuality program. Individuals who have relationship and sexuality issues as a result of their brain injury can seek more in-depth support and learning to help with social, familial and work related issues. Participants will be given more opportunities to practice and apply the skills learned in the first group through the use of learned strategies and role play scenarios. |

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Follow-Up
The CBT follow-up group will allow individuals who have completed the CBT group through PHD ABIS or the Mind Over Mood program/book an opportunity to review and practice the skills learned in these groups. In order to be eligible for this group you must have completed the CBT group or have completed in whole or in part, the "Mind over Mood" program. |

This group is for new individuals to PHD ABIS or individuals who have problems with memory and organization. This group will provide strategies and training for using a daybook planner, some ABI education and PHD ABIS orientation. |
